Director Marcelo Galvao has been awarded Best Director at the Gramado Film Festival for his work on the film, where both Paes and Xavier earned awards for Best Actress and Best Actor for their performances. The film has taken home awards for Best Cinematography as well as additional nominations for Best Sound and Best Feature.
“The Festival is exceptionally proud to showcase such strong Latino cinema,” stated Gregg Schwenk, CEO of the Newport Beach Film Festival to Soul Brasil Magazine. “We look forward to presenting compelling contemporary works of Latino filmmakers and hosting a sensational event that celebrates Brazilian art and culture”, added Schwenk.
