The São Paulo LGBTQIA+ Parade has taken place every year without interruption since its first edition in 1997. Recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest gay parade in the world, it is also considered the second most important annual event in the city — right after the Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix held at Autódromo de Interlagos.
Although officially a five-day event, with the parade as the highlight, celebrations begin three weeks earlier, featuring debates, concerts, dance performances, cultural fairs, and community gatherings. The parade traditionally takes place every year in June, aligning with global Pride Month celebrations.
