Saturday, January 17, 2026, the creators of Samba de Verão return to Hermosa Beach with ESQUENTA!, a high-energy Pre-Carnival Warm-Up Party celebrating the irresistible rhythms and joyful spirit of Brazil – once again at the iconic Decadence Bar, Hermosa Beach, California, and FREE!
Esquenta means “warm-up” in Portuguese, and this event sets the perfect tone for Brazilian Carnival season with an immersive night of live Brazilian music, dance, and positive vibes in South Bay. Leading the celebration is Daniel Carneiro & New Cycle Band, delivering a dynamic musical journey that blends samba, pagode, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms from Bahia and Pernambuco – sounds rooted in tradition yet made for the dance floor.
Inspired by the successful Samba de Verão – Grand Finale in November 2025, ESQUENTA! raises the energy even higher. The night will also feature powerful performances by the Samba Los Angeles drummers, along with special guest Brazilian musicians from Southern California’s vibrant music scene, making this a true cultural gathering.
