Presented by REDCAT, CalArts’ downtown center for the contemporary arts, the festival will presents two weeks of family friendly events from Saturday, April 23, to Sunday, May 7, 2016. Located inside the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall complex in downtown Los Angeles, REDCAT houses a theater, a gallery space and a lounge. With three different programs per day, presented over three weekends, the RICFF features exhilarating live action and animated short film programs that will mesmerize moviegoers of all ages.
Audiences will see magical, adventurous works made by acclaimed filmmakers and up-and-coming auteurs from countries around the globe—including Argentina, Colombia, France, Iran, Mexico, Korea, Russia, and Taiwan—that will inspire the whole family. Festival highlights include the latest in both live action and animated shorts.
