Founded in 2002 and based in Los Angeles, Soul Brasil Media is the most relevant Brazilian media outlet in the U.S. West Coast. More than a magazine, Soul Brasil is a bilingual platform (English & Portuguese) that connects Brazilians and Americans through culture, lifestyle, and inspiring stories of success. We are pioneers in highlighting conscious living, self-esteem, and motivation, while also hosting the most visited Brazilian Events Calendar in Southern California. Through print, digital, video, and social media, Soul Brasil celebrates Brazilian culture in California and across the USA, keeping the community informed, connected, and inspired.

Soul Brasil Magazine was born from a dream on January 1, 2002, after celebrating the New Year in Los Angeles. Just a few months later, on June 11, 2002, that dream became reality when the very first issue of Soul Brasil was distributed during the Brazilian Summer Festival at the legendary Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood.

From the beginning, our mission was clear: to be a bridge between Brazilian culture and American life, inspiring and informing readers in both Portuguese and English. With perseverance, professionalism, and positivity, Soul Brasil quickly grew from a modest print publication into the most recognized Brazilian media outlet on the U.S. West Coast.

Our early days started with just 3,000 printed copies (24 pages) and 56 distribution points in 2002. By 2004, we had expanded to 10,000 copies (36 pages) and more than 200 distribution points across California. In 2006, Soul Brasil celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special issue of 20,000 copies, reaching readers not only in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, but also at Brazilian consulates across the United States and even in Honolulu.

In 2014, Soul Brasil received international recognition from Focus Brasil in Miami as the first Brazilian magazine outside Brazil to pioneer the Go Green concept, embracing sustainability as part of our editorial line. For many organizations in Brazil, Soul Brasil became a reference for Brazilian media abroad, especially in California and the U.S. West Coast.

Over the years, we have continued to evolve. With the creation of Kisuccess Media, we expanded into fusion marketing and business solutions. As digital platforms and social media transformed the media landscape, Soul Brasil was one of the first Brazilian outlets in the U.S. to reinvent itself — offering digital editions, print-on-demand, and daily bilingual content online.

Today, Soul Brasil is no longer “just a magazine.” We are a bilingual media brand (English & Portuguese) with a strong presence on social media, YouTube, and TikTok. Our work goes beyond reporting: we share inspiring stories of Brazilian immigrants in California, cover Brazilian events in Los Angeles and Southern California, and highlight the best of Brazilian art, travel, business, wellness, and culture in the USA.

Through our passionate team in both Brazil and the U.S., we continue to live our American Dream: spreading Brazilian culture, empowering the community, and promoting a more conscious and fulfilling life.
