Brazil occupies almost half the continent and nearly all of it is in the Southern Hemisphere and much of it is tropical, with vast stretches of rainforest filled with exotic plants and wildlife. With over 7.400 km of Atlantic coastline it is for sure one of the top destinations for those looking for “tropical vibe” fun!
But what most international tourist didn’t know (and even some Brazilians) is that the strong Portuguese influence is evident in Brazil’s colonial architecture, in decorative arts such as the glazed tiles in its churches and convents. So Brazil is both a tropical paradise and an exciting historic-art-cultural destination with attractions for all tastes, and it comes as no surprise that in an annual award based on user feedback from the Trip Advisor travel website, many churches and cultural centers have been included in the top 10 list in Brazil.
No surprise at all that Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer is on the rise among millions of travelers with network access and in the top of the list followed by the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, and the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia.
