facebook event 117174938830221The legendary songstress Dionne Warwick will introduce one of the most internationally successful Brazilian artists of all time, returning to perform for one night only at Bar Fedora/Au Lac on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 7:30 pm. and 9:30pm.

Her long-time friend and mentor Dionne Warwick will join Eliana on stage for several songs, including the song they recorded “Heart of Brazil” (Coração do Brasil) by Antonio Adolfo. After a 20 year absence from the stage, Eliana Estevao returns for a special performance of songs from both Brazilian and American composers.

A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Eliana Estevao has been a singer and entertainer since she was just a toddler. As an adult she performed in a Sao Paolo production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and sang in a variety of Brazilian jazz clubs, where she became a well-known artist and was discovered by Brazilian artist Toquinho. She was chosen to be lead vocalist of the musical review “Oba Oba,” which toured internationally and launched her to world-wide fame.

Dionne Warwick is a multi-Grammy Award winning American singer, actress, and TV-show host, most known for her hit songs “Alfie,” “Don’t Make Me Over,” “Walk On By,” and “That’s What Friends are For.” Having been in a partnership with songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Warwick ranks among the 40 biggest hit makers of the entire rock era, based on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles Charts. She is second only to Aretha Franklin as the most-charted female vocalist of all time, with 69 of Warwick’s singles making the Billboard Hot 100 between 1962 and 1998.
