The first and schedule to be annual, Tam Tam Brazilian Festival is shaping to be a “must attend” event for the entire Southern California community. The name “Tam Tam” have its origin by the name of this popular samba instrument that together with the “surdo” and the “pandeiro” is the the soul of samba and pagode rhythms. The word “Tan Tan” in Portuguese also can be used as a Brazilian slang for a little wild. For example, he or she is acting a little tan tan.
The two-days Brazilian music and dance festival happens on the weekend of June 03 and 04 and will feature the top names of Brazilian music/dance scene living in southern California.It is expected to be a full weekend of high energy entertainment with live music and dance, a food court, a beer and wine garden, arts and crafts exhibition, and a children’s area, so you can bring the whole family.
The Tan Tan Brazilian Festival will be heal at La Prada Plaza in the city of El Monte, a beautiful twelve acres space that can accommodate events of all kinds.
