Born and raised in the South region of Brazil, the guitarist, composer and producer Roberto Montero arrived in the U.S. in 1998 to study music with visionary guitarist Frank Gambale, Bill Fowler and others at The Los Angeles Music Academy. Established in Los Angeles he has been working on studio, live, tv, and film projects, as well as teaching for over 35 years.
He have performed with multi Grammy winner artist Sergio Mendes in Japan, Africa and United States, and played with international artists such as Steve Wonder, John Legend, Luis Fonsi, Tiziano Ferro, Tori Kelly, Rickey Minor, Otmaro Ruiz, Dorian Holley, and Brazilians Rique Pantoja, Catina de Luna, and Laércio de Freitas among others
Montero has performed on NBC’s The Voice and Tonight Show, Honorary Oscars, and worked on the sound track of Century Fox movie “Rio 2” and Walt Disney cartoon “Mickey Goes to Rio”, among other films.
