The trail covers a 6 mile (10 km) hike in the dense “cerrado” or tropical savanna of the national park. For those well prepared, the breathtaking landscape along the route offers a truly rewarding experience, making the effort well worth it.
Chapada dos Veadeiros is a year round destination, but it’s important to note that the region’s two distinct seasons to ensure proper planning – from May to September, the climate is dry with little to no rain, making it ideal for outdoor activities. However, between October and April, the weather shifts, bringing more frequent rain to the area.
