The 24th Brazilian Summer Festival in Los Angeles, already a tradition, welcomes Diogo Nogueira, who is currently one of the main names in the Brazilian samba scenery. With over a million copies sold, Diogo won two Latin Grammys, and has recently launched his first album of all self-authored songs, Munduê. Also on the bill is Rio’s laid back singer-songwriter Rogê, who has recorded with everyone from Seu Jorge to Wilson das Neves. To complete the list, DJ Potira is known for mixing everything from hip-hop beats and samba to electro and rock, while DJ Roger Milan brings tracks that lit the dance floor with a unique blend of house and Latino rhythms.
All this accompanied by the stunning girls of the LA Samba Dancers. The outdoor festival also hosts vendors of authentic Brazilian food and drinks, as well as arts and crafts recreating the joy of Brazil’s Summer in California. The 24th Brazilian Summer Festival have also the support of Baile do Victinho (San Diego) and Soul Brasil magazine, and sponsorship of American Airlines, KPFK, REMO and Fusicology.
