The 8th Annual International Summer Beauty (formerly Brazilian Summer Beauty Pageant), a charity event produced by RioBela Productions, takes place on Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 at Samba Brazilian Steakhouse in Redondo Beach from 8:00 pm to 1:30 am. The beauty pageant is the centerpiece of the event, but the evening is filled with live Brazilian music and dance groups, featuring some of the finest Brazilian musicians & dancers in California, an authentic Samba Show with beautiful Samba Dancers and Drummers, delicious Brazilian barbecue dinner, celebrity judges, and an after party with a guest DJ.
“For the past 7 years we have celebrated our success with contestants, sponsors, and supporters from all over the world because they simply love Brazil. We have listened to our international supporters and will be having a bigger and better celebration as “International Summer Beauty!”, said the founder and producer of the event, Valeria Ruggieri.
The beauty pageant night goal is to raise awareness to the world of the difficulties faced by children not only in Brazil, but other countries and concentrate on their education and well being. The concept is that education is not only necessary, but is a priority. The funds raised by the pageant will be donated directly to a charity foundation, and again this year, the producers team up with foundation Brazil Without Barriers (Brasil Sem Fronteiras). Since 2008, donations have been donated different organizations like Casa do Caminho, World Vision, Self Enlightenment Institute and Heifer International.
