More and more research is showing that the key to lifelong good health is what experts call “lifestyle medicine” — making simple changes in diet, exercise, and stress management. To help you turn that knowledge into results, we’ve put together this manageable list of health and wellness suggestions.
• Top models as Gisele and Naomi drinks a lot of drink Ice water! Doing it, the body needs to use more than 100 calories just to warm itself to room temperature to absorb the water. Most models rely on olive oil on when they are in the sun. Not only does it protect hair from the sun’s harsh rays, but it is enhanced as supper conditioner by the sun’s natural heat. Also, as a natural beauty secret they carry lemons in their bags to remove residue from their face and to refresh, instead expensive toners.
• Some recreational athletes make regular use of odor reducers for their favorite sport shoes. There are some people with feet that overheat during times of stress. A few tea bags boiled in a pint of water for 15 minutes, then poured into a foot bath with two quarts of cool water, can really help eliminate foot odor. Dermatologists point to the tannic acid in tea as the neutralizer.
• For occasional sleeplessness, cut a yellow onion into chunks, and put them in a covered jar on your nightstand. When you are tossing and turning, uncover the jar and take a deep whiff of the onion. Close the jar, lie back and think lovely thoughts. You should be asleep within 15 minutes. In the morning, discard the onion. Do not use the same one night after night.
• You have probably heard that raw garlic can unclog arteries. Even many doctors now admit it. If you have been put off by the taste or the odor on your breath, here is what many find is the ideal (and surprising) solution: Garlic in your orange juice. Simple add two minced cloves to half glass. The clover covers the taste of the garlic and, because you do not chew it, the smell does not stay on your breath.
• Pineapple, watermelon, cucumber, lettuce, besides chamomile and anis tea is excellent to helping to control people with anxiety. But much salt and/or sugar, alcohol drinks and coffee can turn the days worst.
• Running can improve a man’s sex life if he doesn’t take it too seriously, according to recent surveys of runners. Those who clocked less than 35 miles a week reported increased sexual desire, more frequent sexual activity, and greater sexual satisfaction. However, more than half the runners training for marathons and covering more than 35 miles a week admitted to sometimes feeling too tire for sex.
• Vitamin C and Aspirin should not be taken together. Studies at the University of Southern Illinois indicate that combined heavy doses produce excessive stomach irritation that could lead to ulcers (especially for those who have a history of stomach problems).
• Cough medicines that don’t do what they advertise (go natural!). Antihistamines, which they say work by thickening, not thinning, lung secretions. Good only for allergies. Decongestants, which might be good for extreme stuffiness but are otherwise of doubtful effectiveness. Expectorants, which drug companies say loosen mucus and phlegm, although the evidence is scant. Suppressants, which suppress the brains cough reflex. They are especially hazardous for people with asthma or bronchitis who rely on coughing to ease breathing when their lungs are not clear. Skeptics of cough medications say home remedies may be more effective and less risky. Chicken soup and fruits juices may work as well as expectorant. Vaporizes and humidifiers offer relief, as does a drop of honey on the back of the tongue.
