Daiana is of Romanian descendent but was born in Haifa, Israel. She came to America at the age of 7 and speaks English, Hebrew, Romanian, Spanish and is currently learning Brazilian Portuguese. Daiana is a versatile dancer who specializes in Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Samba. She started dancing at the age of 13 when a friend told her to audition for her dance studio’s scholarship program. She has fallen in love with it ever since.
“Since I own a dance studio and perform Samba on a regular basis, there is not a day that goes by that I do not practice my craft. They say that practice makes perfect so I guess I have to practice every day” says the Israeli with a Brazilian heart. Leading a healthy and active lifestyle is extremely important for Daiana.
As a dance and theatre teacher, she wants to show her students the importance and the benefits of being physically active every day. “Not only does it help you stay fit and healthy but it is also great for your mental state. For me, dance equals Happiness! It is the time where I can be free and let myself go with no inhibitions”. Daiana goal is to continue to educate people, especially children, about the importance of staying active and leading a healthy lifestyle.
“I also want to continue educating our children about the wonderful world of dance and the beauty it brings out in all of us” said the professional dancer, choreographer, and the owner/artistic director of DK Dance Factory located in North Hollywood, California – www.dkdancefactory.com. She holds a BFA degree in Theatre Arts & Dance and has studied at California Institute of the Arts as well as California State University Los Angeles.
